Most gardens have a lawn and some glorious flowers, but what if we left our lawns to grow naturally for a month at least.

I’ve tried this, and the number of bees in the garden has been mind-blowing. As you know, a kitchen garden doesn’t really have an abundance of flowers, so to help them by letting the grass grow a bit and having some flowers didn’t seem that much effort.

Normally quite well looked after
And now I have buttercups and clover for many happy bees

Another source of flowers I usually wouldn’t have would be on my comfrey plant.

And not only do I have bees but also ladybirds and their larva.
