It’s quickly turning to summertime as the cooler nights are getting warmer. The veggies in the garden, on the other hand, are looking a little stressed. As was in 2018, an uncommon dry spell has settled on the UK and our little plants are taking it hard.

As you can see above, I have recently planted corn and brassicas outside. One thing I’ve planned on is to maximise the ground and planted them in groups of 2 or 3. I’m hedging my bets there will be casualties before the end of the season.

Everything else so far is coming along slowly. Not that that is a bad thing, but they’re at lease stable.

White radish

I wanted to thin out the radishes I have. They were probably a little to densely sown. They were thinned previously but still looked to close as they got bigger. Thinning out has resutled in a few early radishes.
